/ Subtraction Cutting //
This small collection came to life during a project where focus was to combine different techniques into the final product. Professor Julian Roberts from RCA, London, who lectures in Subtraction cutting was teaching this project. The pattern cutting technique, known as “Subtraction Cutting”, is a method were the 'negative' space in the fabric can be opened up and put together in new/random ways, so the look and construction falls somewhere between traditional pattern-making and draping. The result is experimental and playful garments that breaks the boundaries of the usual shapes and construction so new experimental silhouettes appears.
